Kenova lead Sir Iain Livingstone and PSNI Chief Constable Jon Boutcher attended special memorial services held to mark the 50th anniversary of the Dublin and Monaghan bombings on Friday.
A total of 34 people were murdered and more than 300 injured in a series of blasts across the city and border town on 17 May 1974.
To mark the anniversary, services were held in both Dublin and Monaghan and a minute's silence was observed at both locations.
Sir Iain said: "It was a great honour to be invited to attend this incredibly moving service and have the opportunity to pay our respects to all those who died."
